Vito Sports Facebook page helps you Learn from the Pros!

After listening to their cycling community, Vito Sport discovered there’s some common skills that most riders really want to learn. Who better to teach these basics than the Pro riders from Bike Riders United.

Whilst racing as a team at Oktoberfest, the BRU began filming this useful series, in between taking turns to ride laps of the Marathon event.

learnfromThe first video ‘How to Manual’ went live last week and has been viewed by thousands of cycling fans daily ever since. This effective and fun series of videos has been produced by Pro Snowboarder and now famous videographer Johno Verity, who always brings an exciting and hilarious twist to any project.

meettheprosThe next video will be going live later today and is sure to be another great watch. With another couple of videos already in the pipeline for the coming weeks the Vito Sport page is becoming the best place to suggest what skills you need to learn and get taught by some of the best riders the UK has ever produced.

This will open up the bespoke page with all the info about BRU pro riders, a place for you to suggest other skills to be featured and the videos themselves.

“We had an absolute blast riding at Oktoberfest. Racing around the course then rushing over to film segments of the first How To . It made for some frantic action but all a great laugh. Having had a sneak-peak of the next video I’m really looking forward to hearing more suggestions and filming them with Johno.”

Bike Riders together for Oktoberfest

It’s going to be an awesome weekends MTB action for the Bike Riders United this weekend. Steve Peat, Sam Pilgrim, Martyn Ashton, Blake Samson & Oli Beckingsale will all be attending and racing as a team at the Oktoberfest Mountain Bike Marathon.

“This event has been a point all of the team has looked forward to because it provides a relaxed and fun racing atmosphere for us all to hang-out and reflect on each others season of racing, comps and shows.”

Blake Samson

“I’m excited but also a bit nervous of racing on a team with Steve Peat – he’s used to winning… I’m used to doing bunny hop and back flips, they don’t win races! Haha.”

Martyn Ashton

“It’s a management role for me at Oktoberfest. After breaking my leg earlier this year I’ve been steadily getting the strength back and looking forward to riding again soon. However I’m not there yet so I’ll be on hand to give the guys some XC tips and hang-out in the evening.”

Red Bull Street Light Sessions – Manchester

Red Bull Street Light Sessions

Bristol’s Castle Park was recently the venue for the first Red Bull Street Light Sessions. An event dreamt up by YouTube sensation, Danny MacAskill. The aim to get some of the World’s best trials riders jamming on cool obstacles – as well as inviting spectators to try the course themselves with tuition from BRU Martyn Ashton and Danny himself.

Rain couldn’t stop play…

The weather in Castle Park was anything but perfect, however the top trials riders couldn’t be stopped and the evening was a huge success. Despite the downpour every taster session was completely full and an amazing atmosphere took over the evening.

“It was awesome to see the UK’s best riders blasting around the course. I have to say that my favourite moments came in the taster sessions though. Each session had some really brave newcomers taking on the course and learning so much.

I can’t wait to get stuck into the next Red Bull Street Light in Manchester this weekend.”

Amazing videographer and Pro Snowboarder Johno Verity has created this awesome edit of the Animal Bike Tour – from the perspective of the Vito Sport itself.

Martyn and Blake battle with the Vito’s pranks and mischief with hilarious results. Make sure you give this a view – it really is quite funny. Johno’s Vito character is a classic.

Sam Pilgrim wins Red Bull District Ride

After a sensational day of riding the UK’s No1 Dirt Jump MTB star, Sam Pilgrim has won the Red Bull District Ride in emphatic form. Sam started 2011 absolutely dominating the early FMB World Tour events and winning the final round today has proved he is very much the man to beat on the International circuit.

“We’ve been following the news all day today but the first we knew about sam’s win came via a text from Sam’s Mum, it was so awesome. We had just finished a show for the Animal Bike Tour and our MC announced the news to our audience who went wild when they heard.”

Sam Pilgrim is gunning for victory at Red Bull District Ride.

BRU Dirt Jump Rider Sam Pilgrim will be looking to finnish the FMB World Tour in style this weekend. The Red Bull District Ride is where it’s all kicking off and you can watch it live on Freecaster TV on Saturday @ 1pm.

The start of the FMB Tour for was like a dream for the UK’d No1 who took four wins out of four to start the Tour. After a long season of battling Sam is now sitting in 3rd place overall – let’s hope he can take a big win and move up the rankings another step.
